WELCOM BACK… SMS ATHLETICS AFTER SPRING BREAK… MARCH 31st to APRIL 4th

IMPORTANT INFO: … AM OPEN GYM OPPORTUNITIES … will begin Monday, April 7th. Both Volleyball and Basketball Training Sessions will be provided for students who attend SMS, Jackson, and Sullivan. The days in which these opportunities will be offered are yet to be determined; however, we do know that both sports will be provided two training sessions per week and the sport that has the greatest interest will be provided a third day.

Both Basketball and Volleyball are out-of-season sports at this time; however, if one wants to get better and improve their physical literacy in either sport, then one needs to put in a lot of time to honing their craft by developing their skills and knowledge of the game in the off-season. With purposeful practice, great effort, commitment, and time put into developing one’s craft, an individual provides themselves with greater opportunities moving forward.

Those student-athletes who attend AM Basketball or AM Volleyball Sessions on a regular basis, and who attend SMS, will be provided opportunities throughout the spring to compete in Lunch Hour games against each other and against the staff.

For those student-athletes who attend Jackson or Sullivan, you are being an opportunity to get more touches, put more time into your sport/craft, and you are being provided an opportunity to lead others whom you could be playing with in the future.
